This is a photograph of purple Mountain Daisy wildflowers located in the montane mixed-conifer zone of the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Northern New Mexico. The Sangre de Cristo Mountains are the southern end of the great Rocky Mountains which run more than 3,000 miles from Northern British Columbia, Canada to Northern New Mexico in the Southwestern United States.
