This photograph shows the snow covered Mount Lemmon rising high above the Upper Sonoran Desert near Oro Valley, Arizona. Rising to an elevation of 9,157 feet above sea-level, Mount Lemmon is the highest point of the rugged Santa Catalina Mountains and is also the second highest mountain peak in the vicinity of Tucson, Arizona. Mount Lemmon rises just shy of 7,000 vertical feet above Tucson, Arizona.
