Description
This is a panoramic photograph looking over the Valle Grande of the Valles Caldera National Preserve in Northern New Mexico. The Valles Caldera is an ancient mega volcano which collapsed onto it self after its last eruption. The caldera (crater) is 12 miles wide and sits at an average elevation of 8,200 feet above sea-level in the Jemez Mountains.
